Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin Tuanku Muhriz

Alice Smith School’s celebrated its platinum anniversary with a grand ball at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Over 700 guests, comprising parents, staff, partners and alumni marked the school’s 70 years of providing British education in Malaysia. Head of school, Roger Schultz, welcomed guest of honour British High Commisioner HE Vicki Treadell, alumni Tan Sri Tony Fernandez and Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin, to an evening that featured musical performances by students and staff, as well as a silent auction. The gala night was the culmination of a series of Tatler events to celebrate the milestone, including an alumni get-together, the Nostalgic Walk and a Cocktail Reception and Appreciation Evening for business partner and parents, hosted at the British High Commissioner’s Residence.
