Dr Ravi Ponniah shot at the roof deck of the Blue Dolphin yacht.

Naam Langkawi’s chairman Dr Ravi Ponniah arrived on the yacht called the Blue Dolphin looking fresh and ready for the gruelling experience ahead of him. We started off our first shot on an ambitious note with the concept of using aerial photography. The crew was split into two teams with the walkie-talkie as the only means of communication. Team A consisting of art director Allan Casal and writer Tien Chew took to the skies in a parachute to prep for photography, while Team B remained on the yacht to style Dr Ravi for the scene. Team A spent two hours zigzagging around the Blue Dolphin testing wind conditions and height differences before Allan finally found the right angle to capture Dr Ravi in a reclining position on the deck of the yacht.

Photography: Allan Casal; Styling and grooming: Calvin Chong; Blazers: Lord's Tailor; Yacht: Naam Langkawi. To read the full feature, get a copy of Malaysia Tatler January 2015 issue.
