British High Commissioner HE Victoria Treadell

The English Speaking Union Malaysia (ESUM) invited British High Commissioner HE Victoria Treadell to present a talk at a luncheon gathering at the Tang Room of Amoda.

Titled “From Ipoh to KL, Malaysia; Now and Then”, HE Vicki spoke of her humble beginnings, born in Perak to a Cantonese mother and a half French and half Dutch father, her parents’ grand plan of moving to the UK for its way of life and education system and how she is proud of her identity as a legacy of the British empire.

Chairman of ESUM, Raja Tan Sri Arshad Uda then took the podium to thank the guests including Tunku Dara Naquiah and Dato' Dr. Low Bin Tick for their attendance and encouraged them to join the club to further improve the proficiency of the English language.
