The Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) recently saw the swearing in of new council members  for the 2016-2018 term, complete with a new president. 

Dato' Garry Chua, founder and group managing director of Rotol Group, was elected to take over the presidential role from Dato' Liaw Choon Liang, an occasion which was announced in a glitzy gala that saw over 1,000 guests from various retail and property development sectors. 

Big names in the industry like Tan Sri Teo Chiang Hong, Dato' Eddie Choon and Dato' Vincent Choo were among those in attendance to witness the occasion, alongside deputy Prime Minister Dato' Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who officiated the event.
