Sisters in Islam (SIS), an organisation that promotes the rights of women in Islam, organised its first fundraiser of the year in the form of a charity auction dinner from which all proceeds go to SIS.

The intimate affair held at Alexis Bistro at Great Eastern Mall was officiated with a welcome speech by the well-respected executive director of SIS, Ratna Osman. Dinner commenced shortly and was followed by the anticipated charity auction. The items that were up for bidding included a giant teddy bear, a beautiful shawl as well as a few artworks.

The second highlight of the night was a performance by comedian Kuah Jehan. Prominent people such as the likes of Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir to Datuk Simon Foong and Datin Suliana Shamsuddin all turned up as a show of support for this important event.
