Johor’s Princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim wed Dutch-born Dennis Muhammad Abdullah at a private ceremony in her family’s residence, Serene Hill Palace.
The couple, who had been dating for three years, was officially pronounced husband and wife after the betrothal and solemnisation ceremonies steeped in royal tradition and heritage, witnessed by her family, including her parents Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and Raja Zarith Sofiah Idris Shah. The groom’s family, too, flew in to join the couple’s family and close friends for the significant occasion. In the evening, a grand sitting-in-state ceremony and evening reception was held at the Throne Room of the Istana Besar Johor Bahru.
Resplendent in traditional Johor bridal attire, the attractive newlyweds welcomed 1,200 reception guests, which included dignitaries like Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, personalities like Joe Flizzow and Chryseis Tan, designer Tom Abang Saufi, and national athletes.
