Cigars, fedoras, tuxedos and red flowers provided all the accents at Tunku Dato’ Seri Utama Naquiyuddin’s ‘Godfather’ themed 70th Birthday party at Shangri-La Hotel KL. Don Vito and Don Michael themselves were present – in cut-out form – as Tunku Naquiyuddin, his royal family and closest friends gathered to celebrate the occasion. Guests embraced the theme sportingly, leading to a fun-filled evening. Tunku Naquiyuddin’s children – Tunku Alauddin, Tunku Nadia and Tunku Khairul – delivered speeches and put on a performance for their father’s entertainment, while the grandchildren sang him a song. During his own speech, Tunku Naquiyuddin thanked his family and guests for the wonderful evening, making a special mention of his daughter-in-law, Puteri Badrinise Zakuan-Alauddin for spearheading the organisation of the celebrations.
