A mutual friend introduced Darren Ow and Katrina Leong in 2008, when they were studying in Melbourne. Several years of friendship blossomed into a romance that led to Darren popping the question at their favourite restaurant in Melbourne.
Their wedding took place on December 17, 2016 at the Majestic Hotel KL, a day after the traditional tea ceremony at their respective homes. Themed after their mutual love for the outdoors, the ballroom was transformed into an ethereal garden filled with pink and lilac flowers, capped off by a duplicate of the Bethesda fountain statue at the entrance – replicating Central Park, New York.
