The recent Paris Fashion Week was a melting pot of global style influencers, icons and celebrities dressed in the next season’s trendiest looks. Stepping forth into the fashionable pack was our very own Marion Caunter, the only Malaysian woman honoured by Dior with exclusive, front row privileges at Paris Fashion Week.
No stranger to Dior Fashion Week, Marion and her dream team found themselves in Paris on March 3, 2017 for a week of fashion-friends-fun-repeat, imparting a powerful wave of wanderlust on her Instagram. In this Malaysia Tatler exclusive, Marion takes us behind the scenes of her picture-perfect snaps, giving us a personal guide to Paris, complete with top foodie picks, and potential OOTD spots.
Day 1: Bonjour, Paris!
"A girl can never say no to flowers. Merci Dior!"
Day 1: Dolling up for Dior
"Getting ready for the Dior show. What would I do without my trusted hairstylist Shaun?"
Day 1: Before the show"Caught on my phone as always! Waiting to get in the Dior show!"
Day 1: Rubbing shoulders with Madison Beers "She was a super sweetheart and struck up a conversation with me as we were waiting to enter the show venue. She said she loved my bangle :)"
Day 2: A wet fashion week "Staring outside the car wondering if the rain will ever stop! Let's just say it was very wet Fashion Week."
Day 2: Pitstop at Louis Vuitton
"I just had to! The fitting room at the Louis Vuitton store along Avenue Montaigne was to die for. We all took turns taking pictures against that exact same wall!"
Day 2: Paparazzi attack!
"The paparazzi and fans waiting outside our hotel all day every single day to catch Bella Hadid or Gigi Hadid or Zayn Malik. Madness!"
Day 3: Lunch at Monsier Bleu
"1pm: Super tired from a fun night of dancing and deciding what to have for lunch at Monsieur Bleu. If you're ever in Paris, you must have a meal there or pop by for a few drinks and a spot of people watch. Great crowd, good food and awesome service."
Day 3: Playing tourist
"It never gets old. Paris, oh Paris."
Day 3: Paris x dream team "10pm: Hanging with my dream team at Hotel Providence. A quiet and cosy boutique hotel with the simplest yet yummiest French food and FYI, every corner of the hotel's restaurant is the perfect OOTD backdrop."
Day 4: Making new friends
"I made a new friend at the Louis Vuitton cocktail party. She couldn't speak a word of English, nor I; a word of French. We got a sales assistant to help translate our conversation and became besties by the end of the night."
