Eight Malaysian property projects did our country proud in Panama City this week by sweeping up awards at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Award 2016, also known as the World Property Oscars.
The awards, held in conjunction with the 67th World Real Estate Congress of FIABCI, the International Federation of Real Estate, saw 16 world Gold winners and 13 world Silver winners from Armenia, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan.
Of the lot, Malaysia swept up 4 Gold and 4 Silver awards at the 25th World Prix Awards Ceremony cum Gala Nite held at the Hotel RIU Plaza, Panama City.
The Malaysian Gold-award winners are SP Setia Corporate Headquarters in the Sustainable Development Category by SP Setia, Mansions under Residential Low-Rise Category by Perdana ParkCity, Dedaun in the Residential Mid-Rise Category by Selangor Dredging Berhad, and Batu Batu Resort in Resorts Category by Batu Batu Resorts Sdn, Bhd.
The Silver-award winners are Senibong Cove in the Master Plan Category by Front Concept, the Menara Shell of Office Category by MRCB, 28-Mont’ Kiara in the Residential High-Rise Category by UEM Sunrise Berhad, and Wolo Bukit Bintang Hotel in the Hotel Category by Mammoth Empire Holding Sdn Bhd.
The awards were presented to the respective winners by FIABCI World president Danielle Grossenbacher of USA and FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards Committee president Yeow Thit Sang.
Over the 25 years of the history of the Awards, Yeow said, Malaysian property developers have proven their strengths and quality of their projects by winning the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards regularly.
Malaysian developers have won a total of 58 prix awards over last 25 years.
