Teacher Kelvin Tan felt that his students from low-income communities needed more than just good academic results. So in 2013 he co-founded Project ID, a social enterprise that designs student empowerment programmes focusing on leadership, values and career aspirations. It has conducted more than 100 online learning workshops for 2,000 students across Malaysia. In addition, the organisation has helped train 100 teachers to conduct online classes.
