Aerin for Neue Galerie lipstick set

The lifestyle entrepreneur and granddaughter of Estée Lauder has created two shades of lip colour inspired by a Klimt Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I from 1907.

Aerin Lauder is launching a limited edition lipstick set to celebrate the opening of a Gustav Klimt exhibition in New York.

In a move that merges the worlds of art and beauty, the lifestyle entrepreneur and granddaughter of Estée Lauder has created two shades of lip colour inspired by a Klimt Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I from 1907, Women's Wear Daily reports.

Both colors will be sold as a pair in the shop of the Neue Galerie New York, where the exhibition "Gustav Klimt and Adele Bloch-Bauer: The Woman in Gold" opens on April 2.

The colors are Liebling, a blush hue which existed already, and Sequin, which contains a golden shimmer echoing the painting and is both brand new and exclusive to the Neue Galerie.

"Gustav Klimt and Adele Bloch-Bauer: The Woman in Gold" focuses on the relationship between the artist and Bloch-Bauer, one of his most pivotal subjects. It comprises paintings, sketches and vintage photographs and will run through September 7.

The Aerin for Neue Galerie lipstick set costs $64 (around RM236) and can be ordered exclusively through the Neue Galerie Design Shop with delivery starting the week of March 30. Proceeds will go towards the museum's exhibitions and education programs.
