Esprit Dior, Miss Dior exhibition

From now till 20 July, the iconic Miss Dior fragrance will become the focus of a major exhibition of its own for the first time in history.

The first fragrance ever created by Christian Dior in 1947, the iconic Miss Dior, continues to be as much a symbol today as it was back then. From 20 June to 20 July 2014, the House of Dior’s original scent and founding creation will become the focus of a major exhibition -- the 'Esprit Dior, Miss Dior' exhibition -- for the first time in history since its inception.

To pierce the mystery of this unique fragrance and draw inspiration from the ideal young woman who embodies it, Dior has invited 16 women artists from around the world to give free rein to their artistic expression. Using the Miss Dior as inspiration, they sculpted, painted, filmed, photographed, crafted and built various contemporary creations that serve as their own interpretation of the draw of the fragrance.

Those who are interested in unraveling the mystique and draw of the Miss Dior fragrance can do so alongside the works of art of these artists. All 16 pieces will be on exhibition at the Shanghai Sculpture Space for all to marvel. Inspired by Christian Dior’s own love for female beauty, the Miss Dior deserves to be seen in a new depth and light.
