Miss Dior Edition d'Exception

Dior has replaced the fragrance's signature minimalist bow with a haute couture upgrade, using a 5.5m luxuriously intricate lace.

Miss Dior, the first perfume by Christian Dior of his own creation that was first released back in 1947, has hardly seen a redressing in all its years in the market, a big part due to its timeless design crafted by the visionary bottlers of Dior.

Its packaging and bottle has remained the same consistently, save for 2 occasions – once in 2012 when the fragrance itself got an update, and once more in 2013 when it was packaged in a limited edition bottle in only 12 exclusive units.

This year, it is getting another new look – the third in all its years as one of the world’s most popular scents. Called the Miss Dior Edition d’Exception, it will only be released in a precious number of 25 bottles, truly making this collection one-of-a-kind.

Unlike previous updates where the perfume juice itself saw tweaks to the formula, this 2015 edition will not alter a single element of the perfume. It will keep all its citrus accords of mandarin, jasmine, rose, patchouli and musk and see only changes made to its bow that has now become synonymous with the perfume.

Dior has replaced its signature minimalist bow with a haute couture upgrade, using a 5.5m luxuriously intricate lace. Handmade and hand-decorated, the lace bow will adorn the fragrance’s cap while the spritzer underneath comes imprinted with a floral motif created by a special watercolour technique.

The exclusive Miss Dior Edition d’Exception is only available in 200ml bottles, priced at $1,995 (around RM7,382) each.
