Smoky eyes with accents of pink, blue, green and silver rule backstage at the Chanel, Dior and Shiseido fall/winter 2014 shows, injecting a resident fall makeup look with new life.

Fall is the season when most ladies bring out the brown, grey and blacks whether be it in fashion or makeup. Smoky eyes come out in full force to match leather boots and thick coats, or at least that's how it used to be.

This fall/winter 2014, a new breed of smokey eyes are making their debut on the runways of Chanel, Dior and Shiseido. Accents of pink, blue, green and silver have all but taken over the safe tawny colours and we love how it injects a resident fall makeup look with new life.

Chanel 2014-15 Fall-Winter Ready-to-Wear Show Makeup

Youthful and fresh are the key looks backstage at Chanel. Skin is kept matte and flawless with Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation and just a touch of barely-there Joues Contraste 'Canaille' blush. On the eyelids are flat tints of pink, green, orange and dark red from the Illusion D'Ombre eye palettes, winged to add an even more playful touch. Lips with just the thinnest tint of Le Rouge nude lipstick help keep all the attention on the eyes, which are great for both day and night wear. Something worth noting it that eyeliner is skipped altogether so the colours are allowed to highlight the peepers and let them speak for themselves.

Dior Prêt-à-porter Autumn-Winter 2014-15 Makeup

To celebrate the urban spirit of the modern woman, Dior is presenting a new makeup trend that is meant to represent the duality of the female face. Masculine-feminine strong eyes are punctuated with strong colours like green, gold and khaki from the Dior 5 Couleurs Palette in n'276 Carre Bleu. Framed by strong brows, the rest of the face is kept bare with minimal foundation but touched up with a subtle glow courtesy of the Dior Glow Maximiser. The lips, in the same nature as the face, are kept moisturised with little more than Dior Addict Lip Glow and Colour Reviver Balm.

Shiseido for Zero+Maria Cornejo Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection Makeup

For something fresh yet not too over-the-top, smoky eyes are kept clean and bright with Shiseido for the Zero+Maria Cornejo Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show, utilising mainly silver and natural browns. Light and dark shades work together to create the look with the Shimmering Cream Eye Colour providing the perfect high-contrast effect. Colours are blended all the way to the brows so complexion needs to be kept matte, which makeup artist Dick Page did with the Sheer and Pefect Foundation. For a pinch of colour on the cheeks, the Lacquer Rouge Viola lipgloss was used in place of blusher. Lips are kept low-key with just a dab of Benefiance Full Correction Lip Treatment balm for a hydrated and matte finish.
