This spring, deck yourselves out with the latest collection of floral inspired shoes from the likes of Dior, Christian Louboutins and Sergio Rossi.

Remember what Miranda Priestly said in Devil Wears Prada? She famously lashed, “Floral for springs? Ground-breaking…”  to an unsuspecting employee and that lesson was kept to heart by many fashionistas – to not wear the obvious when it comes to seasonal pieces.

However this season, we decide to challenge that exact notion by putting floral back into the game but instead of having them in our tops, dresses or coats, we accent the theme in our footwear.

Instead of going full bloom from head to toe, Christian Dior shows us that less is more; its sportswear inspired spring 2014 collection was paired with a beautiful pair of strappy sandal of gold, white and black with a touch of miniature flower buds.

On the other sole, Sergio Rossi and Sophia Webster do a unique rendition with beautiful butterflies on the heel of the shoe. Instead of giving you the obvious, the shoes give you a hint of lively spring gardens where the winged creatures are aflutter.

If you are not one for flowery themes, spring can also be translated to robust leaves of blooming trees like Giuseppe Zanotti’s golden leaf heels that bring the thought of a beautiful ancient Greek paradise.
