Burton Menswear London's Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign

With the opening of the exciting Burton Menswear London in Malaysia, let's take a look at its latest Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.

In November, Burton Menswear London opened its first three concept stores in Malaysia and together with the launch of the stores, a fashion show was held during the KL Fashion Weekend in KLCC. Now let’s take a more in depth look of its autumn/winter 2013 collection.

The collection is split into three cohesive tatler_tatler_stories about a young man slowly turning into a suave gentlemen. Starting as a college student, the first key trend is the ‘Rebel’ look featuring vintage-inspired jersey-wear, denim and soft fabrics. The budding young man throws on a series of sweaters and jackets that are comfortable and allow easy movement – a great selection for the busy college student rushing down the hallway to the next lecture.

As the story moves, the young man slowly matures into a working adult. Having just graduated, he needs a wardrobe change to a more tasteful heritage inspired look of suits and shirts with bold prints and colour.

When not wearing a formal suit, this new gentleman puts on simple knitwear and sweaters that still celebrates the youth within through a series of color-block jumpers and rich cable knits.

As days go by, we move to the third and final part of the story. Now, the budding gentleman turns into a ‘dapper Dan’ who likes his wardrobe to be more practical and functional. Gone were the days of bomber and varsity jackets and in comes new racks of cotton shirts teamed with padded or waxed leather jackets.

The new suave gentleman’s suits evolve from the colourful and bold to the classic herringbone suits in grey and black. The look is sleek and professional, reflecting his success at work, no matter what industry he's in.

The Burton Menswear London concept stores are located in Sunway Pyramid and Paradigm Mall in Klang Valley, and Queensbay Mall in Penang.
