Dolce & Gabbana has teamed up with luxury shopping site Net-A-Porter.com for the launch of a special collection entitled "Portofino."

Inspired by the colors, landscapes and cobbled streets of the stunning Italian fishing village and resort, the capsule collection comprises dresses, playsuits, sweaters and skirts in tropical hues. It also covers accessories, featuring espadrilles, sandals, handbags, swimwear and even a printed leather iPhone 6 case.

The fabrics are light and versatile, with silks and cottons featuring heavily. A selection of brocade pieces lend structure to a boxed jacket and a shaped mini dress.

Each piece acts as a canvas for reinterpretations of the region's landscapes, with dresses bearing paintings of the town's harbor area, a silk twill playsuit recreating the region's beautiful flora and fauna and a pair of crystal embellished wedge heels bearing images of its beach huts and bunting. Deep, rich colors saturate the entire collection, with the palette running on a baseline of rose pink and azul blue.

The luxury Italian fashion house, headed by design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, is known for taking inspiration for its collections from the landscapes of Italy.

Earlier this summer the house held its Alto Moda presentation in the garden of one of the designers' own Portofino villa while it drew inspiration for its men's Spring / Summer 2016 collection from the Palazzina Cinese, an opulent palace in Palermo, Sicily.

The Portofino collection is now available exclusively on Net-A-Porter.com, with prices ranging from $215 to $7,445.
