London Collections: Men continued to make headlines Monday with a series of bold fashion statements for Spring 2016.

Homegrown talent Bobby Abley took audiences on an intergalactic journey with his space-inspired collection. The designer, known for his love of the OTT cartoon aesthetic, showcased relaxed, sports-inspired silhouettes with a focus on slouchy tees, textured furry sweaters and snoods.

There was a cozy-looking (although midriff-baring) riff on a spacesuit which featured a snood and a UFO cartoon motif, and luxe sparkly fabrics in futuristic metallic to complete the effect.

This over-exaggerated, almost pop art-inspired aesthetic was also adopted by Katie Eary, who didn't disappoint with her psychedelic kaleidoscope of a collection. From the multi-toned jeans, tees and knee socks in teals, turquoises and pinks, even the collection's basics were a saccharine rush of color, while butterfly motifs on silk bomber jackets and anime prints on open shirts added depth to the designs.

From neon shoelaces to clashing boxer shorts pulled up over waistlines, no opportunity to clash had been overlooked.

Meanwhile Beijing-based Xander Zhou also went all-out when it came to motifs, though his were subtler, oriental-inspired blooms scattered across quilted trousers and bomber jackets or on a silk pair of dungarees or handkerchief tops. Once again, silhouettes were loose and sports-like, with exposed zips and pocket flaps adding a utilitarian vibe.
