The first was the men's specialised boutique in Shanghai, marking the first of its kind to open in the city. The new opening became the talk of the town for all shoe lovers in the city when the brand posted a photo of the founder Christian Louboutin at the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Shanghai boutique.

Sporting a gigantic pair of red scissors, the man officiated the store opening with two male models present to help maneuver the scissors.

In Paris, another exciting venture by Louboutin has been announced recently. Designed by renowned interior architect Pierre Yovanovitch, the French shoemaker opened its first beauty parlour to house its range of nail polishes.

The ground floor features a luminescent faceted room with matte silky white walls, projected with an open sky throught an opening of the first floor. If you proceed upstairs via a narrow staircase, you will be greeted with a private boudouir-themed loft, which allows the founder himself to share what he feels are his representations of beauty.

This season, the loft is decorated with his personal collection of Kachina dolls, which resonates with the new Tribalou collection.
