Maison Francis Kurkdjian 'Twin-Set' card holders

The perfume house has unveiled a colorful and fun new line of leather goods, the 'Twin-Set' cardholder pieces, created using the fine leather-working skills of Atelier Renard.

Paris-based perfumer Maison Francis Kurkdjian, which opened its second boutique in Kuala Lumpur just last June, has collaborated with Brigitte Montaut, the designer and director of Atelier Renard, for a new line of fragranced leather pieces.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian first worked with perfumed leather for its Tour Atour bracelets, which launched in 2009. Now it has unveiled a colorful and fun new line of leather goods, the 'Twin-Set' cardholder pieces, created using the fine leather-working skills of Atelier Renard.

The line features Mississippi alligator leather, lambskin and calfskin, all tanned in France and dyed into stunning colors.

The cardholders are all infused with contemporary fragrances using an established technique that was first used to perfume luxurious leather gloves back when traditional tanning processes would leave unpleasant smells that needed to be masked. There's a deep woody, amber scent for the calfskin cardholders and a vanilla and amber accord for the alligator pieces.

The two-color alligator pieces, with a choice of matte or shiny 'lissé' finishes and a lambskin interior, are priced at €1,165 (RM5,015), and the two-color calfskin models, also lined in lambskin, are €525 (RM2,259).

For now they are exclusively available at the new Maison Francis Kurkdjian at 7 rue des Blancs-Manteaux in Paris.
