Dior Fall/Winter 2014 Campaign

Creative Director of Dior, Raf Simons, reinvigorates the iconic Lady Dior bag with touches of urban embellishments and sleek textures.

Long known as the tribute bag to the late Princess Diana, Lady Dior is one of the most coveted bag in the history of fashion and this coming Fall 2014, creative director Raf Simons brings a new look for the iconic Lady.

A Lady Dior bag has always been associated with elegance and class with its cannage stitching, the signature Dior motif and iconic bag charms, but the French label's creative director Raf Simons has other plans in mind for the elegant Lady.

For this Fall/Winter 2014, he has decided to take the Lady out of her quaint mansion and directly into the urban-abstracted city setting. Cannage stitching has been stripped off the Lady, leaving a bare and sleek skin in vibrant colours, as if to challenge the harsh and murky cold season.

The couture-inspired Lady, which was showered with Princess Diana’s affection, has now become an urban warrior princess with an abundance of power and energy. Along with its sleek body, the new Lady Dior has been embellished with padlocked front pocket and an envelope back pocket in contrasting colours to the bag’s body.

The brand new Lady Dior is now showered with fresh palettes of colour including baby blues, pastel pinks and scarlet reds.

For lovers of grained and textured leather, you can find the Lady in grey shiny crocodile leather that brings a sharp edge to your look. To step it up a couple of notches, there is the Lady in burgundy and brown striped alligator skin, a one-of-a-kind design that will surely grab the attention at every event or soiree that you attend.

Raf Simons says, “This season I wanted to propose a new woman. A woman with power and energy in a very definite way.”
