Rimowa Bossa Nova suitcases

A portion of proceeds from the sale of Rimowa's Bossa Nova luggage goes to promote socio-environmental development in Amazon communities.

Rimowa, the original luggage with grooves, has unveiled a new line of luxury luggage that looks good and does good at the same time.

Simply called the Bossa Nova, the new range is attracting the attention of everyone not only because of its striking design of a bold green, but also because of its charity aspect.

Rimowa will be donating a proportion of the sales proceeds from Bossa Nova luggage to the Saúde e Alegria, a non-profit organisation that promotes socio-environmental development in more than 150 Amazon communities.

On top of that, the range will also be manufactured in Brazilian factories so as to provide Brazilian locals a boost in opportunities. A copy of Margaret Mee’s ‘Amazon: Flowers of the Amazon Forests’ will also come with every purchase of a suitcase from the range to familiarise customers with the fascinating flora and fauna of the region.

In line with its cause, the new suitcase is developed in a very special colour and design. A high-quality polycarbonate make up the body in a lush jet green – a nod to the Amazon forest itself.

It is available in a choice of 2 colours – tone-on-tone or with contrasting leather accessories in beige. Padded leather handles, sourced from cow leather that is subtle as it is resilient, ensure comfortable use. The corners of the suitcases are also patched with leather to add an eye-catching feature that makes the cases more robust.

The new Bossa Nova line of suitcases truly lives up to the motto of ‘Travel in style and do good’.
