An official website is now up where an online editor will allow you to customise everything about your pair from the colour and material to the finish.
In 1978, Salvatore Ferragamo premiered the Vara shoe that remains to this day, one of the most celebrated fashion items from the brand. The mid-heeled shoe with a grosgrain bow and gold plaque bearing the Ferragamo logo is easily the most recognisable shoe from the House of Ferragamo.
In conjunction with its 35th anniversary last year, Ferragamo offered to fans the first-of-its-kind custom service which allows consumers to play designer and create their own personal Vara. Now, we in Malaysia can now be part of that with the launch of the service here early this week.
Simply called ‘Vara and Varina Made-to-Order’, you can now add your own personal touch to your Vara or its sister shoe, the Varina ballet flat that borrows the design of the Vara, minus the heel. A wide variety of colours is available for you to take your pick, ranging from the classic Optic White, Oxford Blue, Ruby Red and Black, to the brand new Pastel Pink, Pastel Violet and Blue and White striped fabric.
