Julia Roberts for Givenchy Spring/Summer 2015

For the coming season, many international fashion houses including Givenchy, Balmain and Emporio Armani turn to Hollywood in search of their campaign stars.

It is a festival of stars for the coming Spring/Summer 2015 fashion campaigns, as we see many of the biggest fashion powerhouses like Roberto Cavalli, Givenchy and Emporio Armani sought out international celebrities for their campaign advertisements.

Instead of the usual top models like Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell or Karlie Kloss, this coming season you will find a throng of celebrities gracing magazine and website advertisements including Julia Roberts for Givenchy, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for Balmain and Calvin Harris for Emporio Armani.

Read on for a roundup of celebrity-focused fashion campaigns of 2015:

Julia Roberts for Givenchy
At age 47, the actress Julia Roberts is the face of Givenchy's Spring-Summer 2015 collection. The first photos, revealed on social networks in early December, showed the "Pretty Woman" star wearing a very androgynous look, with a black tuxedo jacket, a shirt with a contrasting white collar, and minimal makeup. The series of images were shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for Balmain
Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing has teamed up with two fashion icons who love to be in the spotlight: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian - for the brand's upcoming advertisements.  Shot by Italian fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, the first visual shows the couple on the verge of a passionate kiss. With its sultry and intimate mood, the image embodies what the brand is calling "#TheBalmainLove."

Madonna for Versace
After 10 years, Versace has proudly announced that Madonna will once again be the face of its Spring/Summer 2015 campaign, taking over a slot previously filled by Lady Gaga. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York City, they portray a magnetic coming together of two pop culture icons with two of the most recognisable names of the 21st century. This also marks the 4th time that Madonna has graced the front of Versace's advertising campaigns.

Nicki Minaj for Roberto Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli has a brand new face for Spring/Summer 2015: famed American rapper Nicki Minaj. The brand praised her "strong sensuality," with the campaign seeking to capture the spirit of a "tribal dance" with the season's colorful clothing and bold accessories. The 'Anaconda' singer wears the brand's famous animal prints, as well as holding exotic animal skin accessories and (fittingly) a snakeskin-trimmed blazer for the shots. The campaign was shot in Los Angeles by photographer Francesco Carrozzini.

Calvin Harris for Emporio Armani
Thirty-year-old Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter, and producer Calvin Harris is the new face of Emporio Armani. Shot by Boo George in Los Angeles, he appears in a set of black and white images showing off next season's menswear pieces, as well as sunglasses and a watch. Alongside his new modelling skills, Harris is the world's top-earning DJ for the second consecutive year according to the annual list compiled by Forbes Magazine.
