Climbers led by Neil Laughton on Mont Blanc

Thomas Pink dresses eight guests in suits for a world record-breaking black tie dinner party on Mount Everest.

In an attempt to showcase the brand's adventurous and innovative spirit, British menswear designer label Thomas Pink takes part in the world's highest black tie dinner party, set to take place at the height of 7,100 metres on Mount Everest. The hike to the dinner spot kicked off recently.

A team of eight climbers will be dressed in Thomas Pink's “superfine” Dickens suit, made with 100% wool and embellished with hand-sewn sleeve heads and Ottoman silk lapels, for the dinner party.

Led by British adventurer Neil Laughton, the expedition is a charity climb that benefits Community Action Nepal (CAN), founded by Doug Scott CBE, the first British climber of Mount Everest.

Aside from the tailored suits, the dinner party will also feature a fine dining experience prepared by Sat Bains, the two Michelin star British chef.

The first class menu features specially freeze-dried dishes including beef bourguignon with potato, miso and caramel chocolate and wheat soup with sweet corn.

Prior to this, the team scaled the peak of Mont Blanc, the highest peak among the Alps, for a rehearsal dinner that saw the climbers raising a toast with GH Mumm champagne.

Throughout the entire journey, Thomas Pink will share updates of the climb via Facebook. For those interested to know more and to contribute to the journey, visit everestdinner.com..
