Tod's highlights seven stereotypes of women in a short film, featuring its Cape bag and Elisa Sednaoui.

For this spring 2015, Tod's takes on a different perspective in fashion by portraying the Tod's woman in a humourous video that documents the joy and irony of women stereotypes.

Instead of the perfect embodiment of a woman, Tod's puts Elisa Sednaoui into the 'Virtuous Elevator', where you see her going through seven daily mishaps that might happen in a regular woman's life.

From being late for appointments and shopping too much to trying hard to stay on a strict diet, Tod's wants to show women that it is okay to not always be perfect because that's what it is to be human.

For this campaign film (see below), the focus is on the versatile Cape bag, which is shown throughout the film. Whether it is for holding all her makeup and wallet or carrying her beloved pooch, the Cape bag fits everything and anything a woman needs for her daily routines.

Using humour and light mockery, this is a new effort of the Italian luxury brand to identify with its consumers. The campaign video is also made into seven individual clips and they are shared across its social media platforms – a new approach seen in many fashion and lifestyle brands as of late.

From all seven stereotypes, we think that the 'reasonable shopper' is most identifiable. After all, a lady can never have too much in her closet, especially when it comes to well-made luxury goods from Tod's.
