Take off your skyscraping heels and don these sexy flats from Miu Miu, Nicholas Kirkwood and Givenchy for a easy, breezy and stylish front.

We can say, without a single doubt, that towering heels are staple pieces in a lady's wardrobe that always make a lasting statement, but for this spring/summer 2015, flat shoes are also taking centre stage with chic embellishments and dapper silhouettes.

That's right. 'No heels' is the new heels of spring/summer 2015. While you can still strut down the streets with your 5-inch wonders, flats are not a bad alternative to bring a refreshing take to your wardrobe.

Jewelled and embellished wonders

While most keep their flat sandals only for beach and cruise affairs, this season we are seeing them on the streets as well. No matter if you're in a bikini or a beautiful dress, a nice pair of bejewelled, bedazzled or embellished flats is worth a shot.

Givenchy's silver metallic leather sandals and Marni's embellished calf hair sandals are both great options to pair with dresses or skirts for a bold statement. If you are donning a two-piece look with pants, then try on wild pair of Giuseppe Zanotti metal embellished sandal.

Laced up and ready to go

For a more dapper take on suit and tie styles or your tuxedo jumpsuits, slip on the classic brogues, oxfords or derbies. Think Michael Jackson in his sequined blazers and black pants with a pair of killer lace ups and you'll get the idea.

Miu Miu's two tone pointed oxfords are a great start to get the look, but if you prefer a chunkier statement, there is also the pair of brogues from Oscar de la Renta. If that does not fit your bill, maybe the more hardcore eyelet embellished edition from REDValentino will do the trick.

Take on a sharper point to strike

Lastly, we have one of women's favourite silhouette for flats: the pointed toe. Always a classic staple, the slip-on pointed toe flat shoes are must-haves for all women that can match almost everything you have in the wardrobe.

If you love floral, then you will love the Dolce & Gabbana polka dot flats that brims with red carnations. For an exotic front, put on these Nicholas Kirkwood + Erdem flats crafted with white lizard and ostrich leather. Miu Miu's Mary Jane ballerina flats with crystals and plexiglas are also great for a feminine touch.
