With almost a decade of successfully boosting Kuala Lumpur’s credentials as a centre for horlogerie and jewellery, A Journey Through Time will celebrate its 10th edition over 10 days, at Starhill Gallery this year.

Presented with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, this year’s celebration, themed ‘Legacy and Icons,’ will open on November 4 with the Tourism and Culture Gala Night. British mezzo soprano Carly Paoli will once again serenade the guests, as well as the seven award winners who will be crowned on the night by an international panel of judges made up of horology experts and renowned collectors.

Throughout the ten days, visitors can look forward to viewing rare private collections, first-in-market editions and show-stopping watches and jewellery alongside the private galas and special by-invitation cocktail parties hosted by renowned brands.

Highlights for this year include the debut of Masa Horlogerie, Malaysia’s first and only watchmaker who will be showcasing the Kerabat Series. The collection includes a special piece – the Taming Sari – made as a tribute to Malaysian heritage and culture.

The JeweLuxe exhibition – also making its debut – will feature a series of curated themed events and exhibitions that will showcase rare gems and jewellery from a host of private jewellery houses and designers from across the world.

Other highlights include the ‘Timeless Royal Weave’ – which will feature contemporary songket dresses and trinkets made by British designer Dame Zandra Rhodes – as well as ‘The Legacy of Time,’ a portrait exhibition featuring ten prominent Malaysians and their most-cherished time pieces.

A Journey Through Time X will run from November 4 to 13. For more information, visit their official website, or stay up to date on Starhill Gallery’s official Facebook page.
