Chanel Mademoiselle Privé

Chanel Mademoiselle Privé line unveils two new watches, featuring innovative hand-embroidered faces with the brand's signature camellia flower.

(Relaxnews) - The French luxury brand Chanel has unveiled a new collection of ladies watches as part of the Mademoiselle Privé line.

Chanel has updated its Mademoiselle Privé line with two new watches, which feature innovative hand-embroidered faces.

The pieces pay homage to the camellia, one of the house's iconic motifs (Gabrielle Chanel's favorite flower, it's still present in her apartment at 31, rue Cambon on the Coromandel screens, in the central chandelier and in a rock-crystal bouquet). It continues in the heritage spirit of the collection: the 'Mademoiselle Privé' name is also taken from the two words found on her design studio door.

Both watches come with quartz movements inside 18K yellow gold cases set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds, and feature black satin bracelets with gold buckles. There's a choice of two embroidered dials (all unique handmade pieces, crafted by Maison Lesage) one with a rose-cut diamond, and the other with 5 natural pearls.

Both are surrounded by yellow and white gold touches and gold thread. Maison Lesage, now owned by Chanel, is one of the top names in haute couture embroidery, but this is the first time diamonds and pearls have been embroidered into luxury watches, and inside the thin gold cases.
