As we draw close to International Women’s Day on 8 March, Hublot has released 2 individually numbered limited edition watches, of only 100 pieces each.

For close to a decade, Hublot has invested tirelessly in the fight for equality for women, whether on an economic, social or sporting platform. Among its many other brand beliefs, the brand has long held to the principle that equality is a fundamental right for all individuals, male and female.

This year, as we draw close to International Women’s Day on 8 March, it has released 2 individually numbered limited edition watches, of only 100 pieces each.

Aptly revealed during the annual Womanity Foundation’s gala dinner held in Geneva on 4 February, the 2 new 'Womanity' timepieces use the Foundation’s signature purple as the main colour scheme as well as its logo on the sapphire glass, setting them truly one of a kind.

We take a closer look at the new watches that represent a cause held very close to Hublot.

Big Bang ‘Womanity’

Representing the strength and tenacity of women, this watch is entirely sculpted from carbon fibre, from its case to its bezel via its dial. Touches of purple feature on the tip of the second hand and the figures on the counter of the flange for an added feminine appeal to soften the entire look. A self-winding chronograph movement with a 42-hour power reserve beats at the heart of the watch, encased in a 44mm case and mounted on a black alligator strap. (swipe left for next page)

Denim is used to translate the versatility of a woman in this watch set in a stainless steel 41mm case. Eleven diamonds are set in its dial and what makes it really eye-catching are the second hand and counter figures – they are highlighted in the same nuances of playful mauve. At its heart lies a self-winding mechanical movement, mounted on a black rubber strap clad in denim, accented also with purple stitching.
