Two iconic timepieces from the Swiss watchmaker's "Rendez-Vous" collection have been treated to designs worthy of the finest high-jewellery collections for 2016. The "Rendez-Vous Tourbillon Enamel" and the "Rendez-Vous Moon High Jewelry" combine top-end watchmaking expertise with jewelry-making skills and creativity in two new watches decorated with precious stones.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has matched a gray gold case with an opaque dial in its "Rendez-Vous Tourbillon" watch for the first time. This makes a striking contrast, ramped up by the 254 brilliant-cut diamonds set on the dial, the bezel, the strap lugs and the crown.

The "Rendez-Vous Tourbillon Enamel" shows the time in a stylized arc with elongated numerals. It uses the Jaeger-LeCoultre 978 caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement assembled by hand. It has hours and minutes functions, along with a tourbillon complication designed to compensate for gravitational effects. It has a 45-hour power reserve.

The Swiss watchmaker has pulled out all the stops with "Rendez-Vous Moon High Jewellery." With its gray gold case, this watch sparkles and shines with a multitude of precious stones, including baguette-cut and snow-set gems, in a veritable ode to jewel-setting techniques.

No less than 301 sapphires of different sizes adorn almost half of the dial, sparkling with playful effects on color, contrast and shine.

This model uses the Jaeger-LeCoultre 935 caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement. It's a feminine timepiece that has hours and minutes functions, as well as a refined moon phase complication tracking the different phases of the moon at a glance. The new moon, full moon, first quarter and last quarter are shown against a sky of sapphires. The watch has a 40-hour power reserve.
