Legendary martial artist and superstar Bruce Lee inspires Hublot again with the release of the ‘Spirit of Big Bang Bruce Lee Be Water.’ Taking many of its design cues from the ‘Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee’ released last year, the limited edition ‘Be Water’ is being used as a vehicle for a much bigger tribute to the Jeet Kune Do master.

As part of a collaboration with the Bruce Lee Foundation, Hublot is holding the ‘Be Water My Friend – legend of Bruce Lee Memorial Exhibition’ from March 31 to April 10 in Taipei 101. The exhibition is displaying personal items once owned by Bruce Lee himself, including a Tang-style Kung Fu jacket, a replica of Kato’s mask from ‘The Green Hornet’, his business cards as well as genuine copies of the screenplays for his biggest hits “Enter the Dragon” and “Way of the Dragon.”

Also on display will be the new watch itself. Carrying the dragon pattern on the dial, similar to its sibling, the ‘Be Water’ is blue with blue alligator leather strap. Fitted with the HUB4700, an automatic winding skeletonized movement, only 100 of the ‘Spirit of Big Bang Bruce Lee Be Water’ have been produced.

As for the inspiration behind the mouthful of a name? Listen to the man himself explain it:

Bruce Lee may have been a larger than life inspiration in the real world, but fictional heroes like the recently returned Batman can also be inpirational to watchmakers.
