Here are four modern restaurants and an ice cream parlour to freshen up your food choices this week.

1. Li Restaurant

Malaysian flavours gets turned up a notch at Li Restaurant, a fairly new restaurant in Damansara Jaya that wants to be your local friendly neighbourhood eatery. 2. Tabe Tomo

Setting up in Damansara Heights under sister sake focused outlet Nomi Tomo, Tabe Tomo (Japanese for "eating buddies") is the latest modern Japanese dining experience to hit the scene. 3. Ra.Ft Cafe Bistro

Ra.Ft Cafe Bistro is a stylish Italian eatery in the heart of KL located at Binjai 8. Their Facebook page promises "the best coffee you've ever had", authentic Italian eats with a few surprises and an unforgettable service experience. We're sold.

4. Cili 8 Noodle Bar & Kitchen

Situated at Plaza 33 in PJ, the recently opened Cili8 takes pride in serving noodles with a focus on home-cooked tastes. Noodle lovers can look forward to a variety of classics, like pan mee, to new takes on said classics, like the oriental crispy duck noodle or volcano pan mee. Find more on the restaurant here.

 

5. Kind Kones

We end on a healthy note with a sneak preview of Kind Kones, a vegan ice cream and dessert parlour. The opening-this-weekend Mont Kiara eatery's desserts are made with natural ingredients only, free from dairy, egg, refined sugar, emulsifiers, preservatives, additives, artificial flavouring and colouring.
