For the chocolate lover who is up for consuming a whole day's worth of calories in chocolate, here's where to go to realise all your sweetest, darkest chocolate fantasies served in a myriad of ways.

Godiva's high-quality chocolates that come served in a variety of styles and flavours need no introduction. Take your time and try them all at Godiva's dedicated cafe. They now have another one in Nu Sentral after the Pavilion KL outlet which was the first Godiva cafe in the whole world. You'll be spoiled for choice between its legendary chocolates, luxurious truffles or chocolate-covered biscuits to go with a steaming mug of hot chocolate. Iced frappucinos are also on the menu and rumour has it, a special Godiva soft-serve will also be making a debut sometime this month. Locate your nearest Godiva cafe here.

If you find yourself in the hectic bustling midst of the KL Sentral area, pop by for a quiet chocolatey break from it all at Art Cacao at Le Meridien KL. It serves up a quiet slice of chocolate heaven with treats like chocolate lollipops, chocolate dragees, chocolate cookies, chocolate eclairs and more. Afternoon hi-tea sets are also available at RM 52 nett from Monday to Friday between 2 - 6pm. One thing not to be missed is the indulgent Vero Dark Hot Chocolate that has the consistency of chocolate sauce, being made of 70% liquid chocolate. Find out more here.

Salon du Chocolat

This chocolate cafe is so serious about its chocolates that it roasts its own cocoa beans in-house, processed fastidiously in small batches to ensure freshness and flavour. As such, it prides itself in chocolate offerings that provide the tastebuds with a crescendo of flavours whether it is with their cakes, their crepes, waffles, fondue or specialty chocolates and truffles. We would recommend you enjoy their chocolate best by dining in so as to savour it the way it is meant to. The quaint and cosy environment of the cafe makes it hard to do otherwise anyway. Find them here.

Mad About Coco

Mad About Coco offers a fun way to try a variety of chocolates ranging from white to milk to dark, in a relaxed and casual environment the kids would love. Cocoa-based treats are aplenty but what caught our attention is the way the sweets are presented. Molten chocolate pours forth from lava cakes; chocolate sauces are generous and aplenty for you to dress your cakes and puddings of choice in; and more sweets hidden in chocolate shells that you melt yourself with more hot chocolate sauce entice both the lips and your Instagram account. Discover more of their offerings here.
