Taking cues from the lively atmosphere of a bustling bazaar, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur transforms Serena Brasserie into Bazaar Serena this June.

Guests can look forward to a buffet spread filled with foods to reinvigorate the body and tastebuds. Local salads the likes of various kerabu styles, pickles to whet the appetite and an assortment of other Malay favourites, such as daging rendang tok and gulai ikan tongkol, are just some of the features of the spread.

Although the bazaar does feature a wide variety of Malay foods, it isn’t just restricted to the cuisine, as fresh seafood also make an appearance.

Meant to be enjoyed on its own, oysters, blue swimmer crabs and green lip mussels are just some of the fresh seafood on ice to grace the menu.

Those looking something from Japan will also be delighted to hear that a sashimi counter, complete with assorted maki and California rolls, will also be present.

A live pasta station further adds to the diversity of foods showcased.

To top it all off, live cooking stalls that offer roasted whole kibas with garlic and thyme, chicken shawarma, grilled fish à la ikan bakar, kam heong stir fried shrimps, local tropical fruits and classic desserts from an ABC stall, rounds out some of the highlights the bazaar has to offer.

Bazaar Serena will be open to the public from 26 May to 24 June. From 26 to 31 May and 21 to 24 June, the buffet is priced at RM 148 nett per adult and RM 78 nett per child (5 to 11 years old). That being said, from 1 June to 20 June the price will increase to RM 178 nett per adult/RM 98 nett per child.
