This Easter Sunday, spend it somewhere every member of the family can enjoy. Hugo’s on 6 at Best Western Premier has just the thing with its Easter Sunday Pool Party where the best dishes that make up a delectable Sunday brunch can be enjoyed by a beautiful pool overlooking the city. Fun games and activities have been planned for the children on top of an international butffet featuring the traditional Sunday favourites, so why not make your way there this 20th April and let the kids play in the water and have their faces painted while you dig into juicy roasted lamb or nibble away at fresh salmon gravlax if you prefer.

Start off with appetisers like smoked salmon with honey-mustard sauce, seared tuna with mango salsa and Thai chicken and shrimp noodles to awaken the tastebuds. The salmon and tuna are fresh and springy to the bite, the sauces just tart and tangy enough to add excitement to the flavours and the noodles so smooth and slippery, you hardly have to chew. Sweet, sour and savoury, all three cold starters combine the best of cooked and raw ingredients to fire up the appetite.

For mains, a whole roasted leg of lamb sits on its own throne seducing you with its golden brown skin and steaming mushroom sauce to take a bite. Juicy and tender, it is done medium rare so the slight redness in its centre seems to blush almost coyly when you cut yourself a slice. Tandoori chicken is also on the menu if you’re not up for red meat, served with a side of lemon-infused mint sauce. Smoky from its porcelain oven, the tandoori is surprisingly succulent under its red-tinged skin and when had with the mint sauce and a spritz of lemon juice, leaves you only wanting more.

For something more oriental, the Chinese-style fried rice hits the spot in more ways than one. Golden yellow in colour from no artificial colouring – just good, old egg yolk – large freshwater prawns surface with every spoonful of rice, bolstered by generous servings of chicken. If Western is what your palate is feeling like, then the grilled salmon dressed in vegetable basil oil and served with a side of boiled potatoes is something that will satiate your appetite very nicely. Chunky salmon steaks borrow the flavour of the basil for mouthfuls that are sweet and savoury. Long beans lend a  delightfully garden-fresh crunch factor to the dish. Skewers of beef and chicken satay that come complete with a tantalising peanut sauce and cucumber slices make for the perfect snack in between drinks and conversation too.

For dessert, special Easter-themed cakes have been whipped up by the dessert chef for the occasion. Rainbow cakes, hot cross buns and chocolate eggs make up only the tip of the sugar iceberg. The green tea tiramisu is a clever twist to the traditional coffee cream cake with real green tea leaves ground into its cream mousse. For something lighter, the mango crème caramel is a fruity pudding that is not too sweet nor watery that both adults and children will love.

Hugo’s on 6 promises a lineup of exciting activities and wholesome delicacies both parent and child will enjoy. What's more, an egg-hunting contest, egg-decorating contest and a clown performing magic tricks are on the agenda too. Bring the whole family and have an egg-citing time only at Hugo’s on 6.

The Easter Brunch is available only on Sunday, 20 April 2014 from 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm and is priced at RM68.00++ per adult and RM34.00++ per child aged 6 – 12 years old. For more information or reservation enquiries, please call 03 - 2272 8888 or email fb2sentral@bestwestern.com.my.
