In true Malaysian style, Cinnamon Coffee House offers more than just great Malay food for the fasting month this year.

For Ramadan this year, Cinnamon Coffee House at One World Hotel is offering an extensive buffet spread comprising a range of delectable dishes from across the region. Expect more than just Malay cuisine as the all-day dining restaurant decides to shake things up with a dash of Western flavours.

With over 100 delicacies on rotation, the buffet spread at Cinnamon Coffee House has never looked so appetising. Presented by the great talents in the kitchens of Cinnamon, the spread showcases the best of both East and West.

While there are plenty of regional cuisines available, the main highlight is the live cooking station, where Cinnamon highlights four mouth-watering delicacies -- Sup Gearbox, Beef Gulai, Lamb Varuval and Fish Head Curry -- that are prepared a la minute in giant woks to emulate the traditional Malaysian cooking style during festivals and celebrations.

Kickstart your dining experience with the aromatic Sup Gearbox, a classic oxtail soup that is rich in herbs and spices soaking through the tender bites of beef and juicy bone marrows. Under careful preparation, the gamey aftertaste from the soup is completely eliminated, leaving only sweet and spicy notes lingering on your palate. To complement the flavoursome soup, we recommend some steamed white rice to help balance out the soup.

Since white rice is on the plate, help yourself to a hearty scoop of the other three wok dishes – the Beef Gulai, Lamb Varuval and Fish Head Curry. This spicy combo will have your palate take off on a blazing adventure.

Both the beef and lamb boast a tender texture and power-packed flavours thanks to the herbs and spices; but the Beef Gulai has a sweeter and more succulent finish, thanks to the use of coconut milk. The Lamb Varuval has a drier consistency that provides a more textured and spicier bite compared to the beef.

Finally end your heat trail with the Fish Head Curry that sports a zesty touch to its chunks of fish slices, which helps you transition nicely to the other delicacies at Cinnamon.

After the load of spiciness, calm your palate with Murtabak and Roti Johnny Meleleh Chicken. The Roti Johnny is a must-try when at Cinnamon for its absolutely delicious flavours and cheesy goodness. Chunks of juicy chicken meat is packed with greens and onions to give a refreshing bite, white the sweet sauce and cheese adds the much-needed pungency to the palate. Definitely a noteworthy dish!

Following that, dive into the various dishes laid out like Chinese, Italian and Indian selections and have a flavourful dining experience. From pizzas and roasts to Chinese stir-fry and satays, the choices and combinations at Cinnamon are almost limitless. Other must-haves include the Bubur Lambuk, deep-fried prawn crackers, grilled seafood and juicy Chinese-style roast duck.

And for a sweet ending, the dessert station will tease your palate with Malay kuihs, ais kacang, bread and butter pudding and more. The Malay kuihs are highly recommended, especially Kuih Tepung Pelita and Kuih Lapis that are always a popular choice during Ramadan.
