Instilling creative flair in his curated dishes, the talented chef takes fresh and simple ingredients to create sophisticated flavours for guests. Taking charge of Nadodi’s kitchen, Sricharan has mastered modern techniques, which cultivated a following among connoisseurs of food, one of them being Ferhat Nazri and his fellow foodie friends.

Ferhat’s love for food began in the early ’90s, when as a child, he stumbled upon a beautiful spread of salad, cold cuts, pies and Vol-au-vent at a cafe in Toronto. “Years later, as a student in London, I came across an even better spread at Ottolenghi in Notting Hill and my affinity for food and its presentation grew from there!” Ever since, he enjoys sampling new dishes and eateries, plus revisits old favourites like Nadodi.

“I love exploring new cuisines and would travel the world to dine at places I’m curious about. At the same time, I’m also a creature of habit, and tend to return to the places which I absolutely love. And it’s great that the HSBC Credit Card features great rewards for those who travel and dine!”

For Ferhat, the experience at Nadodi was above and beyond. “I love how Nadodi takes dining in the city to new heights.” Invited to an exclusive viewing of the kitchen, the specially curated gastronomic journey for Ferhat and his friends was nothing short of stellar.

Starting with the Nadodi Trio, a combination of three enticing surprises, diners are set on a flavourful cruise back to our Malaysian roots. Taking bits and pieces from a famous local dish (that we can’t give away) the appetiser was amazing. Then, a twist on the preparation of Rasam had to be shown off before other courses rolled out. The classic curry makes an appearance in between courses with the Red Kari, a beetroot dish infused with coconut curry­ - one of Ferhat’s notable favourites.

To top it all off, diners get to dig into the faultless Meen Curry, a fish dish completed with meen kozhambu and black garlic. To keep things refreshing, Nadodi whips out the Silence of Our Lamb, an Iberico lamb served with thuna paha masala and aged pumpkin that tastes as sweet as a dessert. Then, to gratify the sweet tooth, Nadodi treats guests with an interesting cinnamon and kalpaasi ice-cream that coexists with shine muscat, pistachios and walnuts - thus serving up the sweet and crunchy all in one delicious dish.
