Resorts World Genting Celebrates Dumpling Season With A Colourful Cast
A dumpling is the complete package: rice, meat and vegetable all in one lotus leaf wrapped package.
Beloved for its chewy texture, delicious fillings and portability, dumplings have long been a staple of Chinese cuisine.
With so many varieties to choose from, Resorts World Genting has curated six delicious dumplings that features a mixture of new and old.
There is the classic Nyonya dumpling, the black-eyed bean dumpling, tian bak, the plain crystal dumpling, the plain crystal dumpling with red bean and a newcomer to the scene, the spicy garlic dumpling.
These dumplings are the creation of guest chefs and longtime dumpling-makers Rebecca Chong Jun Ley and her daughter Michelle Tok. Chong has been making glutinous rice dumplings since the age of 30 and has passed on her expertise to her daughter, so be sure to expect authentic flavours and a good balance of texture and tastes.
Diners seeking to sample these delicious parcels can do so at Genting Palace on the second floor of Genting Grand Hotel, Good Friends Restaurant on level two, Maxims Hotel, Malaysian Food Street on level three, SkyAvenue Mall, Good Friends Express, Fortune Corner, Good Luck Restaurant at Hollywood and SkyPlaza.
These dumplings will be available from noon to 8pm daily from 8 to 30 May.
