Perrier-Jouët holiday gift set
For the holidays, French champagne maker Perrier-Jouët tapped Dutch designer Tord Boontje to create a pair of special presentation cases for their Grand Brut and Blason Rosé cuvées that evoke gardens, petals, flowers and fruit trees. The limited edition cases possess isothermal properties to keep the bubbly at an ideal drinking temperature. The Enchanted Nature Cases launched in December across their main international distribution markets.
Chandon Limited Edition Blanc de Noirs, Holidays 2014
Chandon is Moet & Chandon’s first American sparkling wine venture, with 1,200 acres of vineyards across wine country in California. New this year, their Blanc de Noirs series is wrapped in winter-white labels emblazoned with festive phrases like ‘The Party Starts Here,’ ‘Pour on the Fun,’ and ‘I am the After Party.’ The Blanc de Noirs is marked by cherry, currant and strawberry aromas and flavors, building in the mid-palate and finishing with a soft, creamy texture.
24K Vin Doré
For revelers who really want to impress their guests and ring the new year in high style, Vin Doré is cava, imbued with 24-karat gold dust. The Spanish sparkling wine is double fermented. On the nose, the cava evokes golden apple and grapefruit, and the buttery notes of brioche. In the mouth, it starts dry, and lengthens into a fresh acidity, with touches of hazelnuts and dried fruits.

The limited edition Brut Réserve maintains the glitz and glamour of the holidays with its gold and black labeling and metal gift canisters. On the nose, the bubbly is described as initially restrained, with aromas of apple, pear and peach mingling with curry and turmeric spices. On the palate, the champagne is described as elegant, complex and fresh on the finish.
Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle
Champagne lovers may appreciate Laurent-Perrier’s limited edition holiday gift set that features an ewer along with their bottle of vintage Grand Siecle bubbly. To serve, the bottle is set inside the metal holder or stand. Instead of gripping the concave bottom, pourers grip an elegantly curved handle to pour the bubbly, not unlike the way champagne used to be served in the courts of Louis the XIV.
