Food television's most potty-mouthed personality has plans in the pipeline in Malaysia

If having a popular presence in meme culture isn't enough indication of having 'made it', then perhaps a 10.8 million following on Instagram is. Easily the most recognisable British chef of our times, Gordon Ramsay gained status after opening a string of Michelin-starred restaurants, but really rocketed to fame after starring in television programmes such as Boiling Point, Hell's Kitchen and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, where he mostly assumes the same role—as a fiery character slinging creative insults at incompetent chefs. The shrewd businessman has also been expanding his empire of restaurants to encompass Asia, which brings us to this exciting announcement:

Slated for June 2021, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill is soon to be Sunway Resort's signature dining destination. This marks the concept's first branch outside of London.

Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, announced: "We are delighted to be partnering with the Sunway Group as we expand our Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill concept into Malaysia, and very much look forward to sharing our wonderful menu and famed guest experience with local and international diners in 2021."

Serving meals round the clock, from bustling brunches to refined dinners, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill will also provide the option of private dining—a clever move in the age of coronavirus and social distancing.

The grand unveil of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill ties in with Sunway Resort's full-scale renovations, which are anticipated to come to completion around April 2021. From there on, guests residing in Sunway Resort's suites can look forward to a hearty hotel breakfast at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill—inclusive of room rate.
