Scones and macarons are obviously still present with the Classic Afternoon Tea set, but the Malaysian Afternoon Tea serves up an affair a little closer to home.

The Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur is offering KLites another option for afternoon tea, except the Lobby Lounge is serving more than just scones, macarons and a delightful view.

The scones and macarons are obviously still present with the Classic Afternoon Tea set, which features a three-tier tray filled with a variety of treats. Look forward to savouries like the tuna roll sandwich with wasabi mayo, and the smoked duck on rye sandwich skewer along with sweets like the raspberry cheese cake, chocolate and orange melange, and the granny smith apple crostata.

But for an affair that’s a little closer to home, opt for the Malaysian Afternoon Tea set that includes the golden spiral curry puff, fried beancurd filled with vegetables and served with peanut sauce, and cucur udang with chilli dip. Local sweets will also include sago gula melaka with mango, pandan layer cake and four different Malay kuih.

Both sets are priced at RM85 nett each, and are served between 3pm and 6pm from Monday to Saturday.
