On August 20, ‘Wacky Walk and Happy SOULs’ aims to raise funds for child-focused humanitarian organisation, World Vision.

From a shoplex in Mont Kiara to its current landmark location in Desa Sri Hartamas, SOULed OUT is approaching its 20th birthday with aplomb with its several month celebrations coming to close in a charitable fashion.

For the last 5 months, SOULed OUT has thrown themed party after themed party on the 20th of each month to mark two decades of being a landmark in Desa Sri Hartamas. The parties have ranged from a get-together of folks who lovingly haunt the restaurant and bar, to sports-themed parties celebrating Malaysian sporting heroes capped off with a viewing of a Euro 2016 match.

For its penultimate celebration however, Souled Out is switching gears from pulse-racing parties to a heart-warming event. On August 20, ‘Wacky Walk and Happy SOULs’ is set be the final event before the 20th anniversary celebrations on September 3. The Wacky Walk is a 2.5km walk around Desa Sri Hartamas with the aim of raising funds for child-focused humanitarian organisation, World Vision. The walk that will be flagged off by Deborah Henry, World Vision Malaysia Child’s Rights Advocate and Carol Lee, Mrs Universe 2013, will also see prizes handed out for ‘Best Costumes,’ encouraging participants to dress in group costumes for the occasion.

The walk will be followed by a BBQ brunch at 10am before all participants are invited to participate in a Drum Circle with their own percussion instruments.
