With Fashion Week taking over major cities throughout September, there's no better time for gourmets to reflect on important food and fashion collaborations of present and past. Here's what you get when the world's leading fried chicken chain, the creator of the cronut, and a World's 50 Best Restaurateur serve up looks:

Seasoned with Colonel Sanders' secret spice mix containing 11 ingredients, KFC Malaysia partnered with Pestle & Mortar Clothing to put out 11 items of apparel and accessories. From bowling shirts to bucket hats and enamel pins to tote bags, each product rings of nostalgia while staying in tune with current streetwear trends.

Pestle & Mortar Clothing debuts 11 Finger Lickin’ Good goods.

The collection, which is emblazoned with illustrations and graphics that speak to Malaysians (think lines like, "Who's your atuk?" and an illustration of KFC's first outlet in Malaysia), was officially released at Major Drop Sunway Pyramid on September 5th 2019. Watch the collection video on Youtube.

No longer is the role of ambassador reserved for actors, athletes and performing artists; Koio, a luxury Italian leather goods brand, formed a fun partnership with pastry chef Dominique Ansel earlier this year.

Flour, sugar, butter and eggs, 4 ingredients in neutral tones, informed the limited edition Koio Avalanche's colour palette. The cherry on top of the sundae? A copper lace accessory shaped as a croissant.

Available in both men and women's sizes, the Koio X Dominique Ansel sneakers come with a sweet surprise: a packet of pancake mix from the pastry chef's own kitchen.

Each pair comes with a Dominique Ansel pancake mix.

Koio's footwear, which are lined with buttery calf leather, are lauded for their long wear and soft soles, while Dominique Ansel, who was crowned the World's Best Pastry Chef by S Pellegrino in 2017, rules over his sweets empire in New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

Massimo Bottura, two-time champion of S Pellegrino's World's 50 Best Restaurants and the first chef to be featured in season one, episode one of Netflix's award-winning Chef's Table series, lives, breathes and eats Italian heritage; hence Panerai's decision to endorse the head chef of Osteria Francescana in Modena.

To innovate, you have to bring the best from the past into the future.

A proud manufacturer of luxury Italian watches, Panerai produced a series of short films highlighting the singular stories of men and their respective crafts. Themed Innovazione or 'Innovation,' the final episode trails Bottura at the historic Albinelli market while subtly turning the lens on the Tuttonero Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic Ceramica on his wrist.
