A favourite dinner spot for some of us here at T.Dining, Fuego's churros may look unassumingly plain but they definitely deliver on taste and texture. The pastry itself is thin, crunchy and airy, complemented by salted caramel cream with maltesers-like chocolate balls hiding at the bottom, ensuring a delicious end to a what will be a stellar meal at Troika Sky Dining.

Head over to PCLO Cafe's Facebook page to read up on them and the first thing they'll tell you is that they specialise in coffee and churros. In fact, the cafe does churros so well they even offer corporate packages! Now that's what you call dedication.

Straight out of South Korea to Malaysia, franchise Street Churros has been sprouting up all over the country. With 7 locations under their belt, these pastry makers offer 3 basic choices – flavoured churros, stuffed churros and churros with ice-cream. However, we've spotted them offering promotional items such as a churro hot dog before. Hey, anything's possible right?

We recently caught up with to the head chef of Tiki Taka, Carrie Scully, and she made sure to let us know of her love for sweets, so you can bet this Spanish pinxtos restaurant will have churros on the menu. Voted T.Dining's Best New Restaurant by our readers, Tiki Taka's churros are dusted in cinnamon sugar (classic) and served with dark chocolate sauce and "unicorn cream". What's unicorn cream you may ask? Well you'll just have to order them and find out for yourself.

5. A Mexican Take

Mexican eatery Fresca has been a mainstay at The Gardens mall, still successfully serving up tacos, burritos and other delicacies. While those who head to the restaurant may gravitate towards iconic Mexican staples, don't neglect their churros, served with two types of dips – chocolate and cajeta, a traditional caramel sauce made of goat's milk. Best part is, if you order coffee and churros together you'll get a 10 per cent discount of the two items.

6. Authentically Spanish

Since it opened, Martha's Kitchen has proudly proclaimed its authentic Spanish roots. With Martha herself hailing from Spain, the restaurant's tapas and paella are good for sharing and trying out new flavours when in groups. Come dessert time, churros take centre stage, so much so that they even have a dedicated section on the menu to the Spanish dessert. You can have them plain, with chocolate, with chocolate and caramel, with ice-cream and a caramelised apple, or with a fondue that comes with marshmallows and strawberries.

7. Your Local Neighbourhood Churros And Coffee Spot

This TTDI coffee and sandwich shop may not be a place that comes to mind when searching for good churros, but oddly enough it is. Their Spanish dougnuts are crunchy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside, a clear sign that these folks know what they're doing when it comes to these fried treats. And let's not forget about that coffee!

8. For Over The Top Churros

From Thailand comes Xugar, a churros stall over at Sunway Velocity Mall. From stuffed churros with nutella to more over the top creations that combine churros, ice cream and toppings like popcorn and rainbow coloured cornflakes, if you ever wanted to get more out of your Spanish donut and go all in with the sugar, this place is your dream come true.

Touted as the best selling dessert at La Boca Latino Bar at Pavilion KL, those itching for a cup of coffee, or a pint of beer (we won't judge), to go with their churros when at Bukit Bintang will now have a place to indulge. Now, that's a great idea for the weekend.

10. Churros On Wheels

If you can't go to the churros, let the churros come to you instead. Ok, you still may have to drive to get your hands on some of KL Churros' goods, but it'll be worth it! While you'll see the classic sugared churros with dips on the menu, there will also be many outlandish offers on display, encouraging your adventurous side.

Modern European restaurant Copper prides itself on sourcing quality local halal ingredients and using it to create a contemporary menu packed with stars designed to make your meal a memorable one. The icing on top of the cake? The restaurant serves a popular churros platter that comes with dark chocolate, white chocolate and caramel dip.

12. A Reimagining Of A Classic Pastry

Instagram haven Botanica + Co over at Bangsar South, with a second outlet now at Alila Bangsar, has a sinful churro stack that comes with ice-cream and slightly burnt cream. Our advice? Bring someone with you to tackle this delicious beast.

13. Italy Teams Up With Spain

Although churros may not be this gelataria's focus, which actually does a number of uniquely flavoured gelato really well, the fact that you can pair this Spanish treat with an equally tasty Italian one makes perfect sense. Whimsical Gelato says that all their churros are made à la minute, meaning fresh crispy churros as opposed to soggy ones. Gelato and churros? It's a no brainer.

14. East Meets West

Modern Australian restaurant and bar Drift near Changkat Bukit Bintang recently had a menu change to refresh their offerings. Thanks to the influence of Asian cuisine in Australia, diners can expect dishes that incorporate both Asian and Western influences. When it comes to the churros however, you can expect a more traditional cinnamon spiced version served with caramel and home-made strawberry jam.
