Roasted chickpeas, a common kacang putih snack around the country, has now been elevated as a packaged snack to rival potato chips in the UK, thanks to one enterprising Malaysian.

Gregory Goh, an accountant turned entrepreneur, set up Cheeky P's in the UK to not only introduce a popular Malaysian snack to the UK but to also offer a healthier snacking alternative.

The packaged roasted chickpeas comes in two flavours: black pepper and curry, and has been positively received by many delicatessens and independent grocery outlets, according to a report by Chronicle Live.

Does this dining_news signal the rise of more Malaysian foods internationally? Indeed.
