From now till 14 September 2014, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be home to a collection of dresses that makes up the best and most iconic of Italian fashion spanning across the past 6 decades. The exhibition, called '60 Years of Made in italy', was launched early this week, in the presence of the CEO of Pavilion KL, Joyce Yap, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, Tan Sri Ng Yen Yen, Ambassador of Italy, HE Mario Sammartino and the revered guest of honour, Anna Fendi, the second-born daughter of the founders of the Fendi label.
It is the first of its kind in Malaysia and is the biggest Italian fashion showcase to be held here yet. Thirty treasured pieces from Prada and Fendi to Valentino and Salvatore Ferragamo will be on display, all sourced from archived and private collections from around the world.
The glamourous evening saw the attendance of the who's who in the fashion industry, including president of The Melium Group, Dato' Farah Khan and renowned Italian couturier, Raffaella Curiel. Also spotted marvelling at the dresses were Tengku Zatashah, Dato' Rosemarie Wee, Marion Caunter, Elaine Daly and Datuk Kelvin Tan.
