Riding a tidal wave of romance, the beautiful couple Ahmad Rashed and Anushea Fadhiah entered into married life amidst a backdrop of blue-sea tones and shimmering with crystal flowers, at a reception in the grand ballroom of The St Regis Kuala Lumpur. Vowing to sail through life together, the wedding also merged 2 cultures of Anushea’s Malay-Malaysian heritage and Ahmad’s Afghan-American roots.
The ceremony was essentially a family affair, hosted by the bride’s parents Tan Sri Azmil Khalid and Puan Sri Fuziah, while Anushea’s 5 brothers lent their voices for a performance of Adele’s “When We Were Young”. A self-professed Disney fan, Anushea was inspired by the nostalgia of fairytales, mirrored in her Fiziwoo bridal dress of a lavishly embroidered gown with fern-like sequins which stood out at the elegant reception.
