Chopard gave a preview of the The Visionary Award trophy crafted entirely in ethical gold at a casual luncheon with a select group of friends. It was also revealed that the award would be given to Vogue fashion critic Suzy Menkes at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards during Milan Fashion Week later this month. The trophy was designed in accordance to Chopard’s Journey to Sustainable Luxury of using only Fairmined-certified gold for all of its creations. It is fitting since the Green Carpet Fashion Awards celebrates the commitment of fashion houses to sustainability. The exclusive guest list at the luncheon hosted by Chopard’s co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele, included power couples Eco-Age founder Livia Firth and her Oscar-winning husband Colin Firth as well as Kering CEO Francois-Henri Pinault and his wife Salma Hayek.
